Our Story
At Wicked Timber Customs, we believe that a turkey call is more than just a tool—it’s an instrument, a connection between the craftsman, the hunter, and the wild.
I’m J. Heath Graham, and for over 20 years, I’ve been deeply involved in the outdoor industry, from launching Struttinbucks to producing high-end content for major brands. But at my core, I’ve always strived to be a craftsman.
What started as a weekend hobby—turning bowls and making custom gifts for friends and family—evolved into something much bigger. The first turkey pot calls I made weren’t for sale; they were just passion projects. But as hunters started using them and experiencing the same results I did , demand grew, and Wicked Timber Customs was born.
Every call that leaves my shop is handcrafted, tuned for perfection, and built with precision. But more than that, it carries my guarantee. Because in the moment of truth, I know that what matters most isn’t the price of the call—it’s the trust that it will perform when it counts.
This isn’t just about making calls. It’s about making connections—between craftsmanship, the hunter, and the wild.
F.A.Q
Q. How Long WIll It Take To Get My Call When I Order? Every order placed is dependent of the order it was received. At the top of the homepage there is a lead time always available for reference. It changes regularly depending on demand.
Q: How should I care for and maintain a premium turkey pot call?
Humidity control is the most important part of maintaining a premium turkey pot call. Because high-end calls are made from natural woods and precision-fitted components, changes in moisture can affect sound consistency over time.
For long-term care, store your call in a stable, dry environment. Many experienced hunters and collectors keep their calls in a display case or storage area with a small dehumidifier to help regulate moisture year-round.
Additional care tips include:
Keep calling surfaces clean and dry
Avoid leaving calls in hot vehicles or damp environments
Store strikers separately to prevent surface damage
Lightly condition the calling surface only as needed
